ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the sanitary worker, employed in the 2nd respondent Town Panchayat seeking to quash the notification issued by the Panchayat for appointment of Over Head Tank Operator. The petitioner has further prayed to consider him for promotion to the post of Over Head Tank Operator in the respondent Town Panchayat.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the 1st respondent, on instructions submits that the notification dated 31.12.2021, calling for applications to the Post of Over Head Tank Operator has been cancelled and no further proceedings have been initiated.

3. As far as the request of the petitioner for promotion to the Post of Over Head Tank Operator is concerned, the learned Government Advocate submits that the post has been surrendered to the Government and they have proposed to out source the same.

4. In view of the above said facts, the prayer sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted.
