ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice] The petitioner says that certain parts of land are to be acquired to provide a drainage channel for water to pass through the petitioner's village or the adjoining area, but the authorities have taken no action despite requests.

2. The petitioner is permitted to make a representation to the 4th respondent Block Development Officer in such regard, whereupon the 4th respondent will consider the same in accordance with law and whether acquisition is permissible in such circumstances or whether it would be feasible to acquire the land in the hope that the drainage channel will serve the needs of the local residents.

3. A reasoned decision of the 4th respondent Block Development Officer in such regard pursuant to the petitioner's representation dated 28.05.2018 should be communicated to the petitioner within six weeks of the receipt of a copy of this order.

4. W.P.(MD)No.837 of 2020 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
