Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant to the impugned notification dated 14.07.2010 issued under Section 4(1) of Land Acquisition Act and in Na.Ka.No.29944//08/Aa3 dated 24.12.2010 issued under Section 6 of Land Acquisition Act and quash the same and consequently forbearing the respondents from interfere with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment of the agricultural land in S.No.141/2 and 141/4 in Veeramarasanpettai Village, Thanjavur Taluk, Thanjavur District.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 14.07.2010 issued under Section 4(1) of Land Acquisition Act and declaration dated 24.12.2010 issued under Section 6 of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and the petitioner is sought for Mandamus forbearing the respondents from interfering with the possession and enjoyment of the disputed property.

2. Admittedly, award has not been passed. The counsel for the respondent on written instruction submits that the Government has dropped the present acquisition proceedings. The counsel for the petitioner has also filed an additional typed set of papers in which a reply has been issued under the Right To Information Act on 15.12.2017 stating that the said acquisition proceedings have been dropped and alternative side has also been formed. In view of the subsequent events, nothing survives in the present Writ Petition.

3. Hence the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
