ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the order of the second respondent herein, under which, the petitioner was assigned a different registration number than the one that was assigned to him on the date of registration, namely, 15.04.2011.

The learned Counsel for the writ petitioner submits that he is an Engineering graduate and he registered before the second respondent on 15.04.2011 and he was assigned a particular registration number by way of proceedings, dated 29.04.2011. However, by way of the impugned order, dated 30.12.2011, the second respondent had changed the said registration number with a communication that the next due date for renewal is November 2014. W.P.(MD).No.12432 of 2012 seniority in the registration has been pushed back for nearly eight months and hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Counsel for the second respondent has filed a counter, contending that only the registration number of the writ petitioner has got changed in view of a computerisation in the office. However, the date of seniority of the writ petitioner will remain as 15.04.2011. This statement is recorded. Since the grievance of the writ petitioner has been redressed in the counter, no further orders are required in the present writ petition.

4. The Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
