ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by D. KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) The prayer in this Writ Petition is seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to open the liquor retail vending shop in S.F.No.55/1 of Tharanipatti Hamlet, Viralipatti Revenue Village, Gandharvakottai Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 2 to 4 has produced the 2/5

order passed by the District Collector, Pudukottai in Na.Ka.No.J2/23466/2022, dated 20.12.2022, in which the District Collector has granted permission.

3.In view of the abovesaid proceedings, dated 20.12.2022, it is open to the petitioners to challenge the same in the manner known to law, if they are so advised. Further, the petitioners also stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition that permission has been granted by the first respondent namely, the District Collector. Therefore, a copy of the said proceedings is served to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the aforesaid proceedings, dated 20.12.2022 in the manner known to law, if they are so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
