ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner seeks a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to conduct "45 Mandala Pooja" festival in Chinna Ayyan Periya Ayyan Temple in Sunnampur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, scheduled to be held on 14.01.2021 and 15.01.2021.

2. From the instructions furnished by the learned Special Government Pleader, it appears that there is a continued animosity between two groups, of which, one is headed by the petitioner's husband. In such view of the matter, the fourth respondent / Deputy Superintendent of Police has referred the request made by the petitioner and the other party, namely, the sixth respondent to the Tahsildar, Melur Taluk, for convening a peace committee meeting.

3. Considering the above, instead of the Tahsildar, Melur Taluk, we direct the third respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer to convene the aforesaid meeting, so as to facilitate the proper conduct of the programme.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
