O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to register the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 08.04.2018 and to conduct an effective and proper investigation within a stipulated period to be fixed by this Court.

2.According to the petitioner, he made a complaint on 08.04.2018 against the proposed accused for the offence under Section 379 IPC. Though the respondent has acknowledged the same and assigned C.S.R.No.155/2018, no action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court with the present Criminal Original Petition. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has already submitted the relevant documents before the respondent police and also undertakes to file relevant materials before the respondent police as and when required. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the respondent police has closed the complaint, as the accused person could not be traced.

5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

6.It seems from the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that without registering the complaint and without considering the documents submitted by the petitioner, the respondent has closed the said complaint. Therefore, in the interest of justice, the petitioner is directed to appear for enquiry and produce all the relevant materials on 14.06.2018 before the respondent. If the enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, the respondent police shall register the case and proceed in accordance with law.

7.With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
