The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's candidature for the recruitment for the post of Mechanic Motor Vehicle in accordance with law.

2.On account of efflux of time the relief as such sought for cannot be granted. This apart, an appointment can never be claimed as a matter of right. All appointments made only by following the procedures contemplated and through open competitions. 3.Thus, there is no merit in the present writ petition and accordingly, the same stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
