************ This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to call for the records pertaining to C.C.No.221 of 2016, on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Ambasamudram and to quash the same.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Counsel appearing for the second respondent would submit that out of 21 witnesses already P.W.1 to P.W.12 have been examined and the trial has reached its final stage of examination of remaining witnesses.

3.Considering the fact that the material witnesses have already been examined and their evidences are placed on record before the trial Court, now at this stage, considering the 161 statement and ordering this petition would not be proper and therefore, this petition is liable to be dismissed. 2/5

4.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
