ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the news item published in the Dinathanthi daily dated 01.08.2012 and for a consequential direction to direct the respondents to consider and appoint the candidature of the petitioner for the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant in the ongoing selection process on the basis of the Employment Seniority of the petitioner dated 10-12-1987.

2. In the news paper, the respondents have published a news regarding the recruitment process for the post of Animal Husbandry Assistant which is based on the employment seniority.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner was over aged even at that point of time and as on today, he is 51 years old. The second reason for not sponsoring his name is that since the petitioner is only a dependant to the Ex-service men and not the Ex-service men himself. Therefore, the concession and relaxation to the Ex-service men cannot be granted to the petitioner. Since the recruitment process is already over in the year 2012 itself, at this juncture, that too after the lapse of 10 years, the petitioner's claim cannot be considered.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 26.09.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Nsr 3/4
