ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's complaint dated 26.12.2024 and thereby direct to provide adequate police protection to her to cultivate her agricultural land to an extent of 52 cents situated in Re-Survey No. 646/2A, Patta No. 7093, at Ambalakaranpatti, Melur Taluk, Madurai District and based on her representation, dated 26.12.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner being a lady was acquired the subject property by way of settlement from her husband and also changed patta in her name. While the petitioner enter into the property for doing agricultural work, at that time, the 4th respondent and her brother came there and obstructed the possession and enjoyment of the property and also threatened her. Therefore, the petitioner has lodged a complaint against them. However, the same was not considered. Hence, this petition has been filed. 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based on the complaint of the petitioner, enquiry has been conducted in CSR No.16 of 2025 and the same is pending. Both the parties were summoned for enquiry. The enquiry is posted today (09.01.2025) and it requires some time to complete the investigation. At the time of enquiry, the grievance of the petitioner would be addressed. However, the petitioner is not facing any life threat.

5.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the 3rd respondent shall proceed with the 3/5

investigation in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of.
