ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed challenging a notice issued by the first respondent herein, under which, the petitioner and the second respondent were called to attend an enquiry for alleged wrong entry during UDR proceedings. Any wrong entry during UDR proceedings could only be rectified by the District Revenue Officer and the first respondent has no jurisdiction whatsoever to entertain the enquiry or conduct an enquiry. Hence, the impugned notice, dated 23.07.2012 is quashed. However, the second respondent is at liberty to approach the concerned District Revenue Officer, if he is so advised.

2. With the above said observations, the Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
