Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to pay adequate compensation to the petitioner for the death of the petitioner daughter Late. Pulukaruppan under victim compensation scheme in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER
The petitioner is a widow. The petitioner's third child was a victim of sexual assault. In this regard, Crime No.56 of 2021 was registered on the file of the fourth respondent. Final report was filed and the case is pending at the trial stage in SC No.17 of 2022 on the file of the Mahila Court, Madurai. The petitioner's child committed suicide unable to bear the attendant shame. The petitioner is entitled to get compensation.

2.The fourth respondent is directed to submit appropriate application to the first respondent and ensure that the petitioner is paid the compensation amount as per norms. This exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. I consciously refrain from quantifying the compensation. This direction is issued to all the respondents herein. 3.This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
