Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to inaugurate the 'Bio Diversity Park' in Sirumalai, Dindigul District for the public and tourists access as a part of Eco Tourism by expediting the maintenance works, consequently direct the respondents to take appropriate measures to ensure the basic facilities by constructing adequate Toilets, Drinking Water facilities, informative sign boards and proper security measures in Bio Diversity Park, Sirumalai, Dindigul District in accordance with law within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to inaugurate the 'Bio Diversity Park' in Sirumalai, Dindigul District for the public and tourists access as a part of Eco Tourism by expediting the 2/6
maintenance works and consequently direct the respondents to take appropriate measures to ensure the basic facilities by constructing adequate Toilets, Drinking Water facilities, informative sign boards and proper security measures in Bio Diversity Park, Sirumalai, Dindigul District in accordance with law within the time to be stipulated by this Court.
2. The learned Special Government Pleader submitted a copy of the proceedings addressed by the District Forest Officer, Dindigul Division to the Government Pleader in proceedings C.No.4146/2018/D2, dated 01.06.2025. The said proceedings reveals that actions are initiated and the park will be kept ready to inaugurate within two months after consultation of the higher officials of the Department and the balance amount will be utilised for providing facilities required for further maintenance of the park.
3. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to expedite the process and inaugurate the park for the benefit of the people residing in that locality and in the public interest.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
