ORDER

The present petition is filed seeking for direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband.

2.Mr.R.Russel Raj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would contend that the representation submitted by the petitioner on 19.12.2020, seeking for police protection was not considered by the police, till date.

3.Mr.A.Robinson, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice for the respondents, on instructions, would contend that the petitioner married one Abishek, who is aged about 20 years and their marriage has not been registered. His further contention is that no necessity arose for providing police protection to the petitioner and her husband, since both of them are under the care and custody of Abishek's parents. 4.However, considering the community to which the petitioner belongs, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 19.12.2020, submitted by the petitioner based on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
