ORDER

The writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to make arrangements to facilitate the petitioner and their village people to peacefully conduct the customary Pongal event on 14.01.2025 in the temple premises of Sri Ayyanar Kovil, Paaraipatti Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District based on petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2024.

2. Since the pongal festival is long over and it is admitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the pongal festival had been smoothly conducted, no further adjudication is required to be made in this writ petition. It is made clear that if any such right is sought to be exercised, the concerned person shall approach the Joint Commissioner under Section 63(e) of the HR & CE Act, 1959 within a reasonable time and based upon such orders, the festival in the temple can always be conducted.
