ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.SRIMATHY, J.) The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for a direction to direct the respondents 2 to 6 to implement the Government Order of the first respondent under G.O.Ms.No.531, Water Resources Department dated 24.09.2024 and to pass suitable orders for adequate provision for facilitating the Pechiparai - Radhapuram channel irrigation scheme and ensure storing the available water in all the tanks including the Sanarkulam Tank, situated at Koodankulam, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District, thereby considering the representation of the petitioner dated 26.12.2024 within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the third respondent has filed a status report stating that due to shortage of rainfall, the water release for irrigation from the Kodayar reservoir was closed from 01.03.2025. 3/6
3.Recording the same, this Writ Petition is closed. However, whenever sufficient water is available, based on the situation, the authority concerned shall release the water.
