ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in PRC.No.10 of 2014, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai.

2. The petitioner is the sole accused in P.R.C.No.10 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai under Section 366-A I.P.C

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the petitioner and the third respondent are present along with the victim girl. Both parties submitted that the matter has been settled. A joint compromise memo has been filed, which contains the signature of the petitioner and the third respondent, who is the mother of the victim girl. The same was attested by the learned counsel on both sides, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner has married the victim girl and they are blessed with one child and the child is also made available before this Court. It is further submitted by the third respondent that the second respondent is unable to come to this Court as he is bed-ridden. victim girl.

4.Considering the submissions made and after going through the relevant documents and after looking at the nature of offences alleged against the petitioner, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings pending against the petitioner. 5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the proceedings in P.R.C.No.10 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai, is quashed. The compromise memo shall form part of record.
