: Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.1 to 4 to restore the water body namely Sivankulam Kanmoi in S.F.No.236 to an extent of 5 Hectares and 84 Ares, Avanathankottai Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District, which was classified as Government Poramboke (Kulam) in the revenue records, by removing the newly formed road inside the Sivankulam Kanmai based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2020. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner sought for restoration of water body. Since the representation made by him in this regard dated 14.12.2020 has not been looked into followed by adequate action, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.In view of the above, we direct the respondent No.3 to take appropriate action on the representation made and if any obliteration is found, the restoration of the water body will have to be made within eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
