O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Mandamus as against the 3rd respondent to issue all the relevant medical records/documents of the father of the petitioner to obtain the death certificate of petitioner's father by considering the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2025 within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father passed away on 07.06.2002 in the third respondent hospital. He further submits that at the time of his father's death, the petitioner failed to register his father's demise before the competent authority to obtain the death certificate of his father. Now the 2/6

petitioner is not in a position to get death certificate of his father, since the relevant documents are not available. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation on 23.11.2025 to the respondents, seeking to issue all the relevant medical records of his father. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that all the relevant medical records may not be available with the respondents. However, the date of death of the petitioner may be available with the Register and therefore, they can provide the details of date of death of the petitioner's father.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.11.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event, if the medical records are not available, the respondents are directed to furnish the details of the date of death of the petitioner's father, so as to enable the petitioner to get death certificate.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
