2. The defacto complainant in one case is the accused in the other case. Both the cases were registered for the offences under Section 294(b), 323 506(1) IPC and 506(2) IPC. The petitioners are neighbours and pursuant to the mediation conducted between them, they had agreed to withdraw their respective cases and had filed separate compromise memos in both the cases.

5. The defacto complainant in both the cases are present before this Court and they have been identified by Mr.C.Ragavan, Special Sub Inspector of 6/8

Police, Sattur Town Police Station, Virudhunagar District. Both of them confirmed the terms of the compromise entered into between themselves.

In view of the aforesaid compromise and considering the nature of the offences and the relationship between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the impugned FIRs pending investigation. Accordingly, the impugned FIRs in Crime Nos.415 and 416 of 2023 are quashed and the Criminal Original Petitions are allowed. 04.09.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No Lm To 1.The Inspector of Police, Sattur Town Police Station, Virudhunagar District.
