O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent i.e., the District Collector, Sivagangai District, Sivagangai, to take purposeful action for providing burial ground to the Adi Dravidar Families at Poongudi Village and to take action for such illegal burial in the Channel Poramboke in S.No.123/8A of Ilangudi Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner requested the respondents to provide burial ground to the Adi Dravidar Welfare family in Poongudi Village. Hence, he made a representation to the respondents on 11.06.2024. However, the said representation has not been considered till date. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 11.06.2024 would be considered in accordance with law. 2/4

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.06.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
