Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to give the petitioner promotion as Assistant w.e.f 01.10.1996 and further promotion as Selection Grade Assistant w.e.f. 01.10.2006 in the 3rd respondent Municipal Corporation, consequently direct the respondent No.3 to pay salary arrears with interest from May 1993 by considering the petitioner's representations dated 09.11.2012 and 04.01.2013 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court and pass such further or other orders.

Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is dead and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in the matter.
