ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct a survey and fix the four boundaries of the petitioner's lands comprised in S.Nos.346/3A, measuring an extent of 11.50 ares, and 348/4A, measuring an extent of 16.50 ares, covered under Patta No.4848, situated at Singampunari North Revenue Village, Singampunari Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on the petitioner's application dated 27.11.2025 and representation dated 05.12.2025, within such time as may be stipulated by this Court.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the properties in question and that the application seeking survey and demarcation of its boundaries is pending without any progress.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the lands in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.11.2025 and demarcate the petitioner's lands, after considering the claims of the petitioner and any other rival parties, if any, and to pass orders in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
