PRAYER :- for Bail in Crime No.137 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner is in custody since 29.08.2019, for the offences under Section 8(c) r/w. Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 29(1) and 25 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.137 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police. Hence, he seeks bail.

3. The contraband involved involved in this case is of commercial quantity. 294 kilograms of ganja were seized from one Venkatachalam @ Venkatesan. The said Venkatachalam @ Venkatesan in his confession has implicated the petitioner herein. The contraband was moved from one place to another. The petitioner is said to have played a role in the matter of transport of the contraband from Vedaranyam to Thoothukudi. CRL OP(MD). No.945 of 2020 also indicates that he was in touch with the other accused. The main accused Kiltan is still absconding. The petitioner's earlier petition for bail was dismissed by me on 19.12.2019. There is no change in circumstances. The petitioner will have to necessarily wait for the filling of the final report. I do not find any ground to grant relief to the petitioner. The criminal original petition stands dismissed.
