O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.12.2025 and take an appropriate decision thereon and pass a speaking order within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner/Association is working for the welfare of 68 De-notified Tribal Communities, who largely belong to the socially and economically weaker sections of society. It is stated that due to the ubiquitous availability of liquor through TASMAC retail outlets, the health, livelihood and productivity of the said communities have been seriously affected. Therefore, the 2/5

petitioner/Association submitted a detailed representation dated 08.12.2025 before the respondents requesting them to refrain from selling liquor through TASMAC retail shops to persons, who do not possess any valid licence or permit to consume liquor. However, since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 08.12.2025 would be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.12.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
