This Criminal Original Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to afford sufficient police protection to the petitioner in conducting festival for Sri Kattu Iyannar Kovil, Nerpugaptti, Chettinadu Post, Sivagangai District on 29.06.2015 and 06.07.2015 to 08.07.2015 based on representation dated 24.06.2015.

2. It appears that the petitioner is facing some problem for "Kuthirai Edupu" function.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the matter is being referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai District for resolving the dispute between two groups.

4. Considering the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai District is directed to convene a Peace Committee Meeting and resolve it at the earliest point of time. Based on which, the respondents 2 to 4 will act.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
