One complaint has been taken cognizance and pending in C.C.No.374 of 2014 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruchendur, Thoothukudi District and other case is pending investigation in Crime No.262 of 2014.

2. When the matters are taken up, a joint compromise memo has been filed in both the cases duly signed by the parties and attested by the counsels stating that the parties would not want to proceed further.

4.Heard both sides and also perused the compromise memo. The appearance of the parties is recorded.

5.Considering the submissions made and after going through the relevant documents and after looking at the nature of offences alleged against the petitioners, this Court is inclined to quash the proceedings pending against the petitioners.

6.Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.374 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruchendur, Thoothukudi Distrcit and the F.I.R in Crime No.262 of 2014 pending on the file of the SubInspector of Police, Aathoor Police Station, Thoothukudi District, are hereby quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
