Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to sanction and pay pension for the services rendered by the petitioner from 1967 to 1993 as special grade driver under the respondents as Government servant with interest from the date of retirement ie., on 31.01.1993 till realisation.

O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to sanction and pay pension for the service rendered by the petitioner from 1967 to 1993 as Special Grade Driver under 1/3
the respondents, with interest from the date of retirement ie., on 31.01.1993 till realisation.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Heavy Vehicles Driver in Dairy Development Department, after his Military service for eight years. After rendering 26 years of service, he retired from service on 31.01.1993. However, the pay in respect of the Special Grade Driver was not granted to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner has filed the present writ petition in the year 2011, he seeks pay for the service rendered by him from 1967 to 1993 as Special Grade Driver. He would further submit that this Court may permit the petitioner to make a detailed representation to the respondents and on receipt of the same, the competent authority may pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.
4. The learned counsels appearing for the respondents have no serious objection for the above said submissions.
5. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court permits the petitioner to make a representation to the respondents and if any such representation is received, it is open to the respondents to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
