ORDER

This writ petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct Pongal Festival and its allied events such as sport events for the children, Anna Dhanam, Temple Pooja, cultural events etc., at Kaya Vembupathi Narayanaswami Kovil in Kayavembu Pathi, Rasthakadu, Variyoor Post, Kanyakumari District, which is scheduled to be held on 15.01.2023, 16.01.2023 and 17.01.2023, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 23.12.2022 and reminder representation to the first respondent, dated 27.12.2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had earlier filed a petition in W.P(MD)No.328 of 2022, seeking the very same direction and got orders.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the third 2/5

respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and reminder representation and pass orders, within the time stipulated by this Court.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.12.2022 and reminder representation, dated 27.12.2022 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of two days from today i.e., 10.01.2023.
