The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose the petitioner's appeal dated 27.12.2022 pending before the 1st respondent with a further direction to the respondents 2 and 3 not to evict the petitioner from the survey No.145/28 with an extent of 0.01.5 Ares of Pilluvalasai Revenue Village, Avudaiyarkovil Taluk, Pudukkottai District, till the disposal of the aforesaid appeal.

Today, when the writ petition was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, fairly submitted that the petitioner's appeal dated 27.12.2022 will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of four weeks.

Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 27.12.2022 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the respondents shall not take any coercive steps to evict the petitioner from the place in question. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
