The prayer in these writ petitions is for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to provide necessary assistance and police protection to the petitioner - Town Panchayat for removal of encroachments made by the sixth respondents in Omakkulam Tank, comprised in Survey No.74, Abishekapuram Village, Lalgudi Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District, on any suitable date and time fixed by this Court.

3. On perusal of papers, we do not propose to issue any positive direction at this juncture due to efflux of time. Therefore, the writ petitions are disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner - Town Panchayat to approach the concerned Authority, if their grievance still exists. No costs.
