PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents to disburse the enhanced compensation under section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act. As per the proceedings of the first respondent dated 29.5.2009, a sum of Rs. 3,71,320/- together with 15% interest from 31.05.2002 to till the payment is made. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to disburse the enhanced compensation as contemplated under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents produced a receipt to the effect that the enhanced compensation has been paid to the writ petitioner for a sum of Rs.2,60,859/-(Rupees Two Lakhs Sixty Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Nine only). The said fact is recorded. This is 2/4

received as a full and final settlement and he will not make any further claim. The said statement of the petitioner is also recorded.

3. Based upon the abovesaid facts, no further orders are required in the writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. 21.07.2022 gbg Index :
