ORDER
The writ petitioner is a senior citizen aged about 90 years and had been drawn to file necessary application before the first respondent/the District Collector, Tenkasi District taking recourse to the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

2. The present Writ Petition had been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking disposal of the representation which had been given on 29.11.2021.

Heard Mr.A.Anandaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Satheesh Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
4. The petitioner has his own grievances. The statute, namely the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, provides a window for addressing the grievances of the petitioner. However, the first respondent/the District Collector has to enquire into the representation given by the petitioner herein.
5. I am conscious that atleast till the end of this month, the District Collector would not be in a position to divert his attention to this particular aspect. A direction is given to the first respondent/the District Collector, Tenkasi District to bestow attention on the representation given by the petitioner, issue notice to the petitioner and if there are any further formalities to be completed by the petitioner, direct them and dispose of the entire issue on or before 30.04.2022.
6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
