: Respondents in both Writ Petitions COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writs of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned revised list of Deputy Tahsildar, Dindigul District for the year 2009 in A1/16231/2009 (DT 2009) dated 11.10.2012 and the revised list of Deputy Tahsildar for Dindigul District for the year 2011 in A1/16231/2009 (DT 2011) dated 11.10.2012 on the file of the third respondent and quash the same as illegal to the extent of deleting the name of the petitioner from the list of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2009 and placing the petitioner in the Revised List of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2011 and consequently to direct the third respondent to redraw the Revised List of Deputy Tahsildar for Dindigul District by including the petitioner in the List of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2009 within the time stipulated by this Court.

W.P.[MD]No.16340 & 16341/2012 COMMON ORDER The learned Counsel for the writ petitioners made a submission that the issues in relation to the promotion to the post of Deputy Tahsildar was adjudicated by the Supreme Court of India and a judgment was delivered in favour of the writ petitioners. Accordingly, the benefit of the judgment of the Supreme Court is extended to the officials concerned.

2.In view of the fact that the issues had already been decided by the Apex Court and settled, no further adjudication is required and the case of the writ petitioners are also to be considered with reference to the orders passed by the Apex Court. 3.With these observations, the writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
