PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned demand notice, which was issued by the Revenue Assistant on the file of the 1st respondent dated 15.12.2023 and quash the same as illegal and arbitrary and 1/4
consequently to direct the respondents to issue Sanitary Certificate for the purpose of smooth functioning of school in the premises of the petitioner based on the petitioner representation dated 22.12.2023 within a time stipulated by this Court. This writ petition is filed as against the demand notice, dated 15.12.2023 issued by the Commissioner, Madurai Corporation.
2.Today(10.01.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for admission, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation submits that the entire tax arrears has been settled by the petitioner and as on date, there is no arrears of tax due from him.
