ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to dispose of the petitioner's appeal pending with the first respondent dated 15.07.2022.
2.The petitioner has approached the first respondent seeking to cancel the patta issued to the respondents 2 to 6 without notice to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner has preferred an appeal on 15.07.2022 and the same is admittedly pending on the file of the first respondent. 3.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4.The petitioner is aggrieved by the transfer of the patta from his name without notice in the names of the respondents 2 to 6. It is in this regard that he has preferred the appeal on 15.07.2022 before the first respondent. Presently, the petitioner only seeks an expeditious disposal of the said appeal dated 15.07.2022. 2/4
5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that the first respondent is already enquiring into the matter and the next date of enquiry is 13.03.2025.
6.It is made clear that the petitioner shall co-operate with the enquiry proceedings being conducted by the first respondent and the first respondent shall dispose of the appeal within a period of eight weeks from 13.03.2025, on merits and in accordance with law.
7.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 13.02.2025 sji NCC: Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No To The District Revenue Officer, Ramanathapuram, Ramanathapuram District.
