Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to pass final orders, after conducting enquiry as contemplated under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act 1983, for modification of entries in the Patta Pass Book in respect of property in S.No.152/3 of an extent of 31 cents, out of total extent of 63 cents, situated at Uthayagoundanpatty, Pachamalayankottai Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District, after rectifying the mistake and by entering the name of the petitioner and his sisters namely Vijaya and Rajammal jointly, within a stipulated period as that may be fixed by this Court. This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to pass final orders, after conducting enquiry as contemplated under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu 2/6
Patta Pass Book Act 1983, for modification of entries in the Patta Pass Book in respect of property in S.No.152/3 of an extent of 31 cents, out of total extent of 63 cents, situated at Uthayagoundanpatty, Pachamalayankottai Village, Nilakkottai Taluk, Dindigul District, after rectifying the mistake and by entering the name of the petitioner and his sisters namely Vijaya and Rajammal jointly, within a stipulated period as that may be fixed by this Court.
2. By consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. According to the petitioners, the first petitioner has made a representation to the respondents 1, 3 and 4, on 27.09.2023, seeking for modification of the entries in the patta pass book. But till date no action has been taken by the respondents 1, 3 and 4. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Considering the above said facts, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, directs the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.09.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after holding an enquiry, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 22.01.2024 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No akv 4/6
