ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 12.10.2020 wherein the petitioner is seeking for change of name in the Adangal.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property originally belonged to the grandmother of the petitioner and the Adangal records also stood in her name. This property was settled in favour of the petitioner by virtue of registered settlement deed dated 31.03.2011. The further case of the petitioner is that the patta was also granted in favour of the petitioner.
3. The petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking for change in the name in the Adangal records since it stood in the name of the grandmother of the petitioner. This representation was not acted upon by the respondents and left with no other alternative, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Heard Mr.K.Rajasekaran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mrs.M.Rajeswari, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 12.10.2020 and pass orders on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. The petitioner shall make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No Costs.
