Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to pay the arrears of pay and allowances to the tune of Rs.2,82,350/- for the period from 01.05.2001 to 31.05.2007 as per the terms of settlement under Section 12(3) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 to the petitioner with interest, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's case, direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.06.2011 and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
