This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the second respondent herein to consider the petitioners' representation dated 07.08.2012 for issuance of patta.

2.Today(08.12.2023), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioners. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that in view of the pendency of the civil proceedings and this writ petition, they have not taken any decision on the petitioners' representation. However, in pursuant to the earlier order of this Court, dated 29.08.2023, now the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul District/the second respondent herein has passed an order vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.30870/2020/D6, dated 04.12.2023, rejecting the request of the petitioners. Copy of the proceedings has also been produced before this Court. 2/4

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader and the proceedings of the District Revenue Officer, dated 04.12.2023, this writ petition is closed. The respondents are directed to furnish a copy of the proceedings to the petitioners through a registered post. No costs.
