For Respondent : Mr.R.Srinivasan, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.1205/2020 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act, in Crime No.1205 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not present in the scene of occurrence and there is no recovery from the petitioner. The petitioner is arrayed as accused based on the confession statement of the other accused. He further submits that A1 and A2 were in possession of the contraband, were arrested and released on bail. Hence, he seeks anticipatory bail.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent submits that the petitioner is having three previous cases similar in nature in Crime No.95 of 2015, Crime No.147 of 2019 and Crime No.1205 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police. Hence, he prays for dismissal of this petition. 5.Taking note of the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
