Heard Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Kandasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that a major portion of the trial is over and the Investigating Officer is yet to be examined. Considering the fact that the petitioner is going to retire on 30.04.2015, he prays for early disposal of Special Case No.3 of 2014.

3. Mr.P.Kandasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, would submit that necessary instructions would be given to the Investigating Officer to expedite the trial.

4. In the light of the above facts and circumstances, this Court directs the Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Special Judge, Theni, to give preference and dispose of Special Case No.3 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, on or before 31.03.2015.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of on the above terms.
