Heard Mr.K.Arunraj, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate, who had taken notice on behalf of the first and second respondents and Mr.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate, who had taken notice on behalf of the third and fourth respondents.
2.This petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents 3 and 4 to consider 1/3
a representation, dated 06.12.2021 given by the petitioner. By this reresentation, the petitioner sought provision of water tap connection to the house at Door No.2/171, North Street, Ammankudi Village and Post, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District. 3.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated by the petitioner that she is residing in the said property, that her husband is unfortunately no more and that her mother-in-law, Annatchiammal had purchased the properties measuring totally 72 cents in North Street, Ammankudi Village and Post, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District by a registered sale deed registered as Document No.162 of 1974. The said mother-in-law died on 24.11.1993. The petitioner now is in possession as daughter-inlaw. The Tamil Nadu Government has sanctioned a house in S.F.No.
414/12A under the "Kalaingnar Veedu Valangum Thittam in the year 2010-2016" and thereafter, she constructed a house. There were certain issues with respect to possession. But finally, she is today in possession. She now seeks water connection. She had given a representation to the third and fourth responodents seeking water connection. The present writ petition has then been filed. 4.Mr.Thambidurai, learned Government Advocate for the third and fourth respondents states that the representation may be considered. 5.However, a direction is given that if there are no other impediment, if the documents of the petitioner are proper, neccessary water connecion itself may be granted within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
If there are any dispute, necessary undertaking may be obtained from the petitioner herein.
6.With the above observations, the writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
