PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to accept duplicate bills obtained from the hospital and photo copies of relevant documents and provide the medical reimbursement to the tune of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) to the petitioner in the light of vide proceedings issued by the second respondent vide R.C.No. 39058/NHIS-3/2021, dated 19.03.2021.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the third respondent to accept duplicate bills obtained from the hospital and photo copies of relevant documents and provide the medical reimbursement to the tune of Rs.2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) to the petitioner, in the light of the proceedings issued by the second respondent in R.C.No. 39058/NHIS-3/2021, dated 19.03.2021.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a pensioner and she is also a Subscriber of New India Health Insurance Scheme for pensioners. Since the petitioner took treatment and incurred an expenses of Rs.2,00,000/-, (Rupees Two Lakhs only), she applied for medical reimbursement. However, no order was passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a claim for medical reimbursement by annexing all photo copies of relevant documents and the same have not been considered so far. Hence, this Court may issue a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's claim and pass appropriate orders.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that the petitioner has not annexed the original documents and she affixed only photo copies of the relevant documents. Hence, the third respondent is not in a postilion to consider the claim of the petitioner.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to conduct an enquiry on the claim made by the petitioner and thereafter pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
