PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to drop further proceedings in respect of lands in survey Nos. 212 and 213, Soorankudu Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District by passing orders in terms of the communication of the second respondent vide Na.Ka.No.1405/91/A, dated 01.09.2004, to the first respondent. ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking re-conveyance of the land, which was already acquired by the Government. The land owners have challenged the acquisition proceedings in W.P.No.17859 of 1993, which was dismissed on 12.09.2000. Thereafter, writ appeal filed by the land owners in W.A.No.2079 of 2011, has also been dismissed on 20.02.2012. Thereafter, the present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus to re-convey the land to the land owners. 2/4

2. According to the learned Counsel for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had passed away and the legal heirs are not responding to implead themselves in the present writ petition. The same is recorded.

3. The writ petition stands closed with liberty to the legal heirs to restore the writ petition, if they are so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 02.08.2022 Index :
