The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner reached the age of superannuation and allowed to retire from service on 31.05.2016 The claim set out in the present writ petition is for notional promotion on par with his junior. However, the writ petitioner was allowed to retire in the year 2016 and now, three years lapsed. Under these circumstances, the notional promotion as prayed for cannot be granted. However, it is left open to the writ petitioner to approach the respondent, if any grievance exist, as of now. 2.Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
