ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to survey the petitioners' house site bearing Plot No.40 situated in Survey No.11/71A1, Veerapandianpattanam Village, Tiruchendur Sub Registration District, Thoothukudi Registration District, based on the Application made by the petitioners in Application No.2025/0123/28/011148 dated 06.12.2025, within the time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are the absolute owners of the property in question and that an application dated 06.12.2025 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the said property. Since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that after issuing notice to the adjacent land owners, appropriate steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923.
5. Recording the aforesaid submission, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners' application dated 06.12.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioners and the owners of adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
