ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus,directing the respondents 1 to 5 to permit the petitioner and member of Scheduled Caste Community people to celebrate the festival and participate in traditional rituals at the '44 Mandala Pooja' festival in Chinna Ayyan Periya Ayyan Temple, Sunnampur Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District which is scheduled to be held on 14.01.2020 and 15.01.2020 or in future date within a time frame.
2.When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 submitted that the fifth respondent had rejected the request made by the petitioner as well as the sixth respondent by order dated 12.01.2020. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 also submitted that the petitioner as well as sixth respondent received the copy of the order dated 12.01.2020. 3.On a perusal of the order dated 12.01.2020, it could be seen that the fifth respondent had passed the order taking note of the fact that the Writ Petitions in W.P(MD)Nos.651 and 674 of 2020 are pending.
4.In these circumstances, we do not find any reason to keep the Writ Petition pending. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. It is open to the aggrieved parties to challenge the order dated 12.01.2020 passed by the fifth respondent in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
