O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2022 to cancel the Patta No. 778 issued to the fourth respondent and to assign the land in S.No. 269/5 measuring 0.36.0 ares situated at Keeranoor Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, to the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that representation has been made on 03.11.2022 seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent. However, since no action has been taken by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation would be 2/5

considered on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.11.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The third respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
